John 6:67-69
King James Version (KJV)
67 Then said
Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?
68 Then
Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of
eternal life.
69 And we
believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.
Jesus asked his disciples, "Will ye also go away?" Jesus said this to his disciples, because some of his disciples found his speech very hard, and Jesus wanted his disciples to know their opinion, and he also wanted to hear from them, beside whom they wanted to be, and Peter always was a disciple with a personality more explosive than the other disciples and peter responded immediately "To whom shall we go? Only Thou hast the words of eternal life." This shows recognition of Peter that there was not another truth outside of Jesus.

My beloved, this word is for true Christians, for people who really want to follow Jesus; There are few verses earlier, more precisely starting verse 60, we see that Jesus was having a conversation with his disciples (Jesus / Master & Disciples / followers) ; The disciples were all the time beside of Jesus, heard all His teachings, and yet many were thinking that His speeches were much heavy, and even said that this speech is not for everyone; Truth! The words of Jesus everyone can hear, but, the words of Jesus they are not for anyone; Thus, there is a big difference between listening and practicing His word.
Jesus' words are for people who practice it, for people healed, people who want every teaching Him, for people who want all the time, and dedicate their lives for to be always close to him, for people who want to smell your sweet scent , this sweet scent that is exhaled in His great love, and that as closer to Him, the more His scent is impregnated in them.
From that time to the present day does not change much, if we bring it into our temples; Many also feel Jesus' discourse too heavy, and they say: "Serve Jesus is very difficult because us can not commit a little sin... Why?", And someone make questions for their leader:" What happens if I make just a little sin? was a friend of mine who asked me to ask you, he was with doubts. " Jesus remains the same master, and now we are continuing the work of the disciples, following Jesus, And You? Do You want to stand next to whom? What kind of disciple you have been?
Actually serve Jesus is no easy task; You must live a life of renunciation constant and get strengthening in the Holy Spirit and mortifying the flesh and all the time seeking the things above, the things that are God's, that God has His pleasure; And not conformed with this world, and not follow the course of this world;
My brothers (sisters), we must to live our lives in God's truth, ie, in God's word, in the Bible, because in truth there is none that can compare with Jesus; For the salvation is only through Him , and more (verse 67) "To whom shall we go? Only Thou hast the words of eternal life." Remember, Jesus is still asking: "Will ye also go away?" Now it's up to you to take your decision and answer the question of Jesus. Peter already answered, and you?
Amen!
